Student Clubs Offered Through the College of Science and Engineering at Seattle University

Children and their teacher in a high school class

As professors provide students with specialized knowledge of computer science and engineering, student clubs can further enhance their understanding of the field. A university club can offer a tightly knit community that is passionate about each member’s success. Through community service, engineering projects, and networking, they can help students succeed after graduation. In addition, participation in student clubs creates long lasting memories and relationships outside of the classroom. The following student clubs are offered to graduate students in the College of Science and Engineering at Seattle University:

Engineers Without Borders

Students in Engineers Without Borders complete environmentally and economically sustainable projects throughout the world. By partnering with universities in other countries, they implement engineering systems to help local communities. For example, students in Engineers Without Borders were able to create a drinking water treatment system for a medical clinic in Thailand. This system provides safe water for approximately 5,000 people.

Society of Women Engineers

As an educational and service organization, the Society of Women Engineers fosters success in the field of engineering. It recognizes the significant contributions women have made to the field. Through career development programs, networking, and community service, female students develop the necessary tools to succeed in their engineering careers. Additionally, this club provides an encouraging atmosphere for collaboration and lasting relationships.
